Direct answer
How do you configure a live AI coach for your own NEPQ-style question flow?
You can configure Amotions AI around the question flow your team already uses: upload your approved materials, build call steps, rehearse a realistic prospect conversation, then test private live suggestions. The useful test is whether the coach suggests a relevant follow-up at a moment when the seller can use it.
What is Amotions AI?
Amotions AI is a real-time private AI sales coach that delivers in-call guidance, AI roleplay, and post-call scorecards—trained on the customer’s playbook. It does not join meetings as a bot.
Start with your own question flow
You can configure Amotions AI around the question flow your team already uses: upload your approved materials, build call steps, rehearse a realistic prospect conversation, then test private live suggestions. The useful test is whether the coach suggests a relevant follow-up at a moment when the seller can use it.
Amotions is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to NEPQ, Jeremy Miner, or 7th Level. This guide describes configuring your own materials for NEPQ-style selling. It is not official NEPQ instruction, and the examples below are original illustrations.
1. Choose one conversation to coach
Start with a call type, not your entire sales process. A small retirement-planning firm might choose an initial consultation, where the goal is to understand what prompted the inquiry, hear the client’s concerns, and agree on an appropriate next step.
Write down what the coach should help the advisor do. For example: ask one question at a time, follow the client’s answer before changing topics, and include both decision partners. Also identify what stays with the advisor: recommendations, suitability judgments, and any product-specific explanation.
2. Prepare your question flow and approved materials
Collect the questions, stage definitions, objection approaches, and product or process information your team is authorized to use. Keep the first set focused enough to inspect. Do not upload a training library you do not have permission to use.
Use this planning worksheet before entering anything into the product. It is a content template, not an import format or a list of product fields.
•
Call type: Initial retirement-planning consultation
•
Conversation stage: Understand the reason for exploring help
•
What to learn: What prompted the inquiry now
•
Approved question: “What prompted you to explore this conversation?”
•
Follow-up rule: Build the next question from the client’s answer
•
Coaching boundary: Do not invent a financial recommendation
•
Evidence to review afterward: The client’s concern was heard and summarized accurately
If your team uses situation, problem-awareness, consequence, solution-awareness, and commitment stages, define what each means in your own process. Avoid treating the stages as a rigid script: a client may answer a later question before you ask it.
3. Configure the call steps and add your materials
An admin sets up the call steps under Organization settings → Playbooks. Add the stages and the questions your team wants to reinforce, and upload your script and knowledge guide. If you have several playbooks, use Set as default for the one you intend to test, then quit and reopen the desktop app so the new session loads it.
Keep the purpose of each step clear. “Understand the concern about retirement timing” is more useful to your team than an unexplained label such as “Stage 3.” Your materials should explain what to explore and when to stop asking and acknowledge the answer.
See playbook and call-step instructions and using your own script live.
4. Rehearse an objection that changes direction
Use AI roleplay to test a plausible prospect, including one who gives short answers or raises a concern you did not anticipate. Check the suggestions against your approved process rather than expecting identical wording on every run.
Here is an illustrative sequence, not a customer transcript or captured product output:
•
Prospect: “I already have someone helping me.”
•
Useful coaching cue: Explore why they accepted this conversation before discussing a change.
•
Advisor: “What prompted you to explore another conversation?”
•
Prospect: “My spouse and I have different ideas about when to retire.”
•
Useful next cue: Follow the difference in goals and invite both partners’ perspectives.
The second cue matters as much as the first. If the conversation has shifted to a spouse’s concerns, a generic competitor rebuttal will miss the point.
5. Test both speakers’ audio and prompt readability
Sign into the desktop app with the same account and organization that contains your playbook. On your actual meeting or phone setup, confirm that Amotions can hear both your microphone and the other speaker. A call heard only through a separate handset does not supply the customer’s audio to the computer.
Run a practice call with a colleague before a customer conversation. Ask whether the prompt appears before the next response, whether it matches what was said, and whether the advisor can read it without losing attention.
Compact view shows the latest suggestion. Expanded view keeps earlier suggestions available. Lower the maximum suggestions per minute in Settings if the panel changes too often. Suggestion frequency controls how often prompts appear; it is not a response-time guarantee. See live-coach setup.
6. Review and refine the same behavior
After the call, open Post-meeting Insights and review the transcript and AI suggestions & tracking. Compare what the advisor heard, what the coach suggested, and what the advisor actually asked.
A simple review rubric can ask:
•
Did the follow-up use information the client actually gave?
•
Did the advisor ask one clear question and allow an answer?
•
Did the conversation explore the concern before presenting a solution?
•
Was the next step agreed rather than assumed?
Revise unclear materials and repeat the roleplay. Set up your chosen criteria in the product separately; the worksheet above does not automatically create a scorecard.
Which plan do we need?
Playbook personalization is available on every plan, with plan-specific usage. Custom AI agents are included on paid plans. Compare the current plans and allowances against how much live coaching your team expects to use.
A small team can start with a few users and one call type. Bring your own question flow and common objections to a NEPQ-style coaching demo, or explore Amotions for NEPQ-style selling.
