Direct answer
What should an acquisitions call scorecard include?
Score five areas: rapport and listening, motivation discovery, negotiation and offer explanation, objection handling, and a clear dated next step. Define what good looks like for each, score only what the call evidence shows, and use one low score to choose the next practice scenario.
What is Amotions AI?
Amotions AI is a real-time private AI sales coach that delivers in-call guidance, AI roleplay, and post-call scorecards—trained on the customer’s playbook. It does not join meetings as a bot.
Why score acquisitions calls
Most owners listen to a few calls and form a general impression. A scorecard turns that into specific behaviors you can coach, and lets you compare a rep’s practice calls with live calls using the same yardstick.
This template is an illustrative starting point for people who buy houses from motivated homeowners. Replace the wording with your own approved process.
The five-area scorecard
1.
Rapport and listening. Good: the rep lets the seller explain, reflects their words back, and does not interrupt. Evidence to look for: a summary the seller confirms.
2.
Motivation discovery. Good: the rep learns why the seller is considering a sale now, their timeline, the property’s condition and who else is involved. Evidence: the seller states their own reason.
3.
Negotiation and offer explanation. Good: the rep explains how the number was reached using approved figures, and compares the seller’s real options honestly. Evidence: the rep asks what the seller needs to net and by when.
4.
Objection handling. Good: the rep identifies what is behind the objection before responding, such as price, trust or timing. Evidence: a clarifying question precedes the answer.
5.
Next step. Good: the call ends with an agreed, dated step the seller wanted, or an honest no-fit. Evidence: a date, a person and an action.
How to score
Use a simple scale, such as 1 (not shown), 2 (partly shown), 3 (clearly shown). Score only what the transcript or recording shows. If an area did not come up, mark it not applicable instead of guessing.
Avoid scoring tone as personality. Score observable behavior: did the rep ask, reflect, explain or agree a next step?
Turning scores into practice
Pick the lowest-scoring area and practice it in a roleplay with the same rubric. Then compare the next live call. This keeps practice tied to the real gaps.

How Amotions AI supports this
Amotions AI is a private AI coach. Teams define the scoring criteria, practice with AI seller personas, and review scores on roleplay and, where enabled, real calls. Configure and review the rubric before relying on it. Scores help choose what to practice next; they do not predict whether a deal will close.

Frequently asked questions
Q1.
What is an acquisitions call scorecard?
A.
A checklist of observable behaviors, such as discovery and next steps, used to review seller calls consistently.
Q2.
How many criteria should a scorecard have?
A.
Five to eight is manageable. Too many criteria make review slow and feedback unclear.
Q3.
Should I use the same scorecard for roleplay and live calls?
A.
Yes, when the behaviors apply to both. That lets you see whether practice carries over.
Q4.
Can Amotions score against my own criteria?
A.
Yes. Admins configure scoring criteria in Organization settings; check the rubric before assigning it.
