How do you train car salespeople on price objections with AI?
Use AI roleplay to rehearse “What’s your best price?” and related payment stalls with a clear framework: clarify what “best” means, isolate whether the gap is vehicle, payment, trade, or timing, communicate value in approved language, then advance a next step. Amotions scores practice against your store’s rubric with a private coaching overlay—not a meeting bot. It is not a DMS or TILA tool and does not guarantee PVR.
What is Amotions AI?
Amotions AI is a real-time private AI sales coach that delivers in-call guidance, AI roleplay, and post-call scorecards—trained on the customer’s playbook. It does not join meetings as a bot.
Why “best price” breaks unpracticed reps
Price objections show up on the first phone-up, on the lot, and again at the desk. Unpracticed reps either dump a number too early, argue the internet price, or freeze into “let me check with my manager” without discovering what the shopper actually needs.
Training should treat “What’s your best price?” as a conversation skill—not a permission to ignore discovery. AI roleplay lets reps miss the moment safely, then retry with the store’s framework.
A practice framework for “What’s your best price?”
Use a four-move framework your managers already recognize (adapt wording to store policy):
1.
Clarify — Ask what “best” means: out-the-door, monthly, versus another quote, or versus a budget.
2.
Isolate — Separate vehicle fit, payment range, trade expectation, timing, and decision partners.
3.
Value — Restate fit and process in approved language. Do not invent incentives or payments.
4.
Advance — Earn a next step: appointment, appraisal, or a manager desk moment with a clear purpose.
Illustrative lines only—not recorded deals and not finance advice.
Scenarios worth loading into roleplay
Internet-quoted price lower than your unit. Payment-only shopper who will not discuss use. Trade expectation far above appraisal range. “I can get it cheaper across town.” Spouse not present. “Just shopping” after a specific VIN inquiry.
Each scenario needs a success definition. Winning is rarely “said the sticker.” Winning is usually: clarified the gap, stayed compliant, and booked a next step your process allows.

What to score on price conversations
Do not score “defended margin” as personality. Score observable process: did they clarify before quoting, isolate the real gap, avoid stacking pressure, and own a next step?
Keep price as one dimension beside discovery, vehicle fit, trade-in, and financing/payment process. An example dealership scorecard (customize it—do not treat it as universal) is here: https://amotionsinc.com/blogs/car-dealership-sales-call-scorecard
How Amotions AI approaches this
Amotions runs scored AI roleplay on your price and objection tracks, then can reinforce with private live prompts and post-conversation scorecards. Coaching stays on the seller’s screen; Amotions does not join the customer conversation as a meeting bot.
Custom playbook agents and personalization are on Professional ($99/seat/month) and Enterprise (quote). Published plans: Basic Free, Starter $49/seat/month, Professional $99/seat/month, Enterprise quote: https://amotionsinc.com/pricing

Compliance boundaries managers should reinforce
Amotions does not calculate payments, choose products, or give TILA, Reg Z, or fair-lending advice. Reps must use store-approved language for payments, incentives, and disclosures.
Do not upload customer PII into public marketing flows. Bring anonymized talk tracks to practice and demos. Amotions is not a DMS or F&I menu replacement.
From roleplay miss to live habit
After a low price-conversation score, assign two roleplay retries with the same objection before the next live phone-up. Managers review the scorecard dimension—not a vague “be more confident” note.
When the miss happens mid-call and store policy allows, private live prompts can cue clarify-first language. Phone and BDC paths use speaker audio plus the desktop app; virtual deals can use a private overlay on Zoom, Teams, or Meet.
Frequently asked questions
Q1.
Should reps practice giving a number immediately?
A.
Only if your store process requires it. Most useful drills practice clarifying and isolating before any quote in approved language.
Q2.
Can AI invent discount or payment answers?
A.
Do not train that way. Load approved talk tracks. Amotions is not a payment calculator or compliance advisor.
Q3.
Is this only for BDC, or also for the desk?
A.
Both. Phone-ups and desk price talks need different success definitions—score them separately when your process differs.
Q4.
Does Amotions guarantee higher gross or PVR?
A.
No. Evaluate whether reps follow your framework more consistently in practice and coached calls.
Q5.
Where do we put our own objection sheet?
A.
