Direct answer
Should we choose Rilla or Amotions AI?
Choose based on who needs the help and when it has to arrive. Rilla is an AI-powered conversation and sales coaching platform focused on recording customer conversations, conversation intelligence, and virtual ridealongs, with strong public emphasis on field and in-person sales. Amotions AI is a real-time AI conversation assistant and sales coaching platform focused on the individual seller: live prompts during phone and video conversations, AI roleplay before, and scorecards after—including for in-person consults, as House of Hearing does. Neither is universally better. This article is the narrative; the side-by-side matrix lives at /compare/amotions-ai-vs-rilla.
What is Amotions AI?
Amotions AI is a real-time private AI sales coach that delivers in-call guidance, AI roleplay, and post-call scorecards—trained on the customer’s playbook. It does not join meetings as a bot.
Who each platform is designed for
Rilla’s public positioning points at managers of customer-facing teams who cannot be everywhere. Reps record conversations with the Rilla app, Rilla transcribes and analyzes them, and managers coach through virtual ridealongs rather than physically riding along. Rilla names home improvement, home building, home services, property management, multifamily, dental, automotive, senior living, and tech among its industries. Source: rilla.com.
Amotions AI points at the individual seller in the moment. Private prompts appear on the seller’s screen during a live conversation, drawn from the organization’s own playbook, with roleplay before and scorecards after. Its published audiences include SDR and BDR teams, insurance producers, mortgage and loan officers, real estate and leasing professionals, and dental and healthcare consults.
Neither framing is a criticism of the other. They answer different organizational questions: “how do my managers coach more conversations?” versus “how does this rep perform better in the next ten minutes?”
Conversation environment
This filter matters, but it is narrower than it looks. Rilla’s public product pages center on in-person and field conversations. Phone and video call support is not documented on the product pages we reviewed—we do not claim it is absent, and teams selling by phone should confirm that directly with Rilla.
Amotions AI is built for phone conversations and for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, and runs as a private overlay rather than joining a meeting as a visible participant. It also supports in-person conversations through approved capture and consult scorecards: House of Hearing runs face-to-face hearing-aid consults on Amotions AI, using roleplay before and scorecards after. So the environment question does not settle this comparison on its own—see /in-person-sales-coaching and the /customer-stories/hearing-health-ai-roleplay-coaching story.

Real-time assistance: who receives the help
Both products use the phrase real time, and they mean different operating models.
Rilla publishes a product called Rilla Live, which describes managers listening to in-person appointments as they happen and coaching in the moment. That is manager-led live coaching. It scales with manager availability. Whether Rilla also delivers AI-generated prompts directly to the rep during a conversation is not documented on the product pages we reviewed—ask in a demo.
Amotions AI delivers guidance to the seller, not to a listening manager: objection cues, suggested discovery questions, buying-signal flags, and next-best responses that adapt as the conversation moves. It does not require a manager to be available. It also does not promise zero latency, perfect accuracy, or a guaranteed outcome—the seller decides what to say.
If you are evaluating this dimension, the question to ask both vendors is simple: who receives the guidance, and what has to be true for it to arrive?
Recording and post-conversation analysis
Recording is Rilla’s foundation. Reps record with the Rilla app, and Rilla Intelligence describes analysis across those recorded conversations including close rates, script compliance, ticket size, competitor mentions, and customer objections. If your coaching system depends on reviewable conversations at volume, that is the design you want.
Amotions AI produces post-conversation scorecards and coaching feedback aligned to your rubric, and native call recording is planned and coming soon. Today, teams that need a mature recording archive should weigh that roadmap position honestly rather than assume parity.

Roleplay and practice
Both platforms describe practice roleplay. Rilla’s public site mentions practice roleplays alongside feedback on recorded conversations. Amotions AI runs scenario practice scored against your own criteria, with sessions built from your playbook and objections.
The useful demo question is not whether roleplay exists—it is how scenarios get built. Ask each vendor: do we author scenarios from our own objections, how are sessions scored, and what happens to the score afterward? Related: /ai-sales-roleplay and /blogs/custom-ai-roleplay-scenarios-from-your-playbook.
Manager workflows
Rilla’s manager workflow is the virtual ridealong: review a recorded appointment quickly, coach from what you heard, repeat across the team.
Amotions AI’s manager workflow is scorecard-led: managers review post-conversation scores and roleplay results rather than sitting on calls, and turn misses into the next practice scenario. Related: /blogs/how-to-coach-a-10-person-sales-team-without-sitting-on-every-call.
Both reduce the manager’s time per conversation. They differ in what the manager is looking at.
Industry fit
Rilla publicly names home improvement, home building, home services, property management, multifamily, dental, automotive, senior living, and tech.
Amotions AI publishes industry pages for insurance, mortgage and lending, real estate and leasing, dental and healthcare, commercial real estate, and other customer-facing motions. See /industries.
There is real overlap—dental and multifamily appear on both sides—and in overlapping verticals the environment question usually decides it. A dental practice coaching chairside consults and a dental group coaching treatment-coordinator phone follow-ups are not the same buyer.
Questions to ask during a sales evaluation
•
Where do our conversations actually happen, and does this product support every one of those channels?
•
Who receives guidance during the conversation—the rep, or a manager who happens to be listening?
•
How do our objections, talk tracks, and scoring criteria get into the product, and what does the AI do if we have no written script?
•
What does recording require from the rep, and what does the customer see or hear?
•
How are roleplay scenarios authored and scored, and does scoring use our rubric?
•
What does a manager look at during a weekly coaching cadence?
•
What is on the roadmap versus shipped today, in writing?
•
What does rollout look like for a team of our size, and who administers it?
How to read this comparison
