How can agents practice explaining complex financial products?
Load your approved product explanations and disclosures, then have agents explain each product to an AI buyer who is confused, skeptical, or in a hurry. Score clarity, accuracy to the approved language, separating guaranteed from non-guaranteed elements, and whether the buyer could explain it back. Never let a practice explanation include returns or promises.
What is Amotions AI?
Amotions AI is a real-time private AI sales coach that delivers in-call guidance, AI roleplay, and post-call scorecards—trained on the customer’s playbook. It does not join meetings as a bot.
Why do agents struggle to explain complex products?
Most product training teaches agents what a product is. Very little of it teaches them how to explain it to a nervous buyer in two minutes without jargon, without overselling, and without saying something compliance would not approve. Under pressure, agents either drown the buyer in detail or reach for a number they should not quote.
Roleplay fixes that by letting agents practice the explanation itself, repeatedly, against buyers who push back the way real ones do. The briefs below are examples to adapt. Build your own from the product explanations and disclosures your company and carriers approve.
What makes a good practice brief?
Each brief has four parts: the product to explain, the buyer persona, what success sounds like, and what the agent must never say.
•
The persona: a buyer who is confused (“can you say that simpler?”), skeptical (“I read these are a scam”), or rushed (“just give me the short version”).
•
Success: the buyer can describe the product, its trade-offs, and what is and is not guaranteed in their own words.
•
Never say: return or rate figures, “guaranteed” for anything that is not, comparisons the company has not approved, and a recommendation outside your suitability or needs process.
Which practice briefs should insurance agents start with?
Permanent life to a term-only buyer
Persona: a buyer who has always had term and does not see why anyone would pay more. Success: they understand what cash value is, that premiums are higher, and which elements are guaranteed. Never say: projected values from memory.
An indexed product’s caps and floors
Persona: a buyer who asks “so what will this earn?” Success: they understand how crediting works in principle and that the illustration is not a promise. Never say: any rate, cap, or return not on the approved illustration.
A fixed or indexed annuity
Persona: a retiree worried about locking up money. Success: they understand surrender periods and access to funds before they hear any benefits. Never say: “you can’t lose money” or anything your carrier has not approved.
Medicare plan types
Persona: someone turning 65 who is overwhelmed by mail. Success: they understand the difference between the plan types you are licensed to discuss and what to check about their doctors and prescriptions. Never say: anything outside your approved, compliant script.

Which practice briefs fit loan officers?
Adjustable-rate versus fixed
Persona: a first-time buyer attracted by a lower starting payment. Success: they understand that the rate can change, when, and what the payment could look like, using your approved explanation. Never say: a prediction about future rates.
Home equity line of credit
Persona: a homeowner who thinks a line of credit works like a savings account. Success: they understand the draw and repayment periods and that the home secures the line. Never say: approval odds or a rate before an application.

How should managers score a product explanation?
Score each criterion 1 to 5. This is an illustrative example, not a benchmark.
•
Plain language: no unexplained jargon; short sentences.
•
Accuracy to approved wording: the explanation matches what your company and carrier approved.
•
Guaranteed versus non-guaranteed: clearly separated, every time.
•
Trade-offs: costs, limits, and when the product is not a fit are mentioned without being asked.
•
Teach-back: the agent asked the buyer to explain it back, and the buyer could.
•
No forbidden statements: any item from the “never say” list scores the whole roleplay as a fail.
How does Amotions AI support product-explanation roleplay?
Product capabilities: companies upload their product knowledge, approved explanations, and talk tracks, and Amotions calibrates to that material, typically in about a week. Agents practice with AI buyer personas, including confused and skeptical ones, and each roleplay is scored against your own criteria, such as clarity and teach-back. On live calls, private prompts can show the exact approved wording from your uploaded material. Amotions does not recommend products, quote returns, or act as a compliance system of record.
