How many live coaching hours does a full-time appointment setter need?
Count the time you are actually talking to prospects, not the time you spend dialing. Most full-time setters talk to people for a fraction of their day. Professional includes 30 hours a month and Advanced 60; run the live coach only on connected calls and most individual setters fit one of those.
What is Amotions AI?

Phone time is not talk time
A setter’s day is mostly dialing, ringing, voicemails, texts, notes, and follow-ups. The part where a prospect is on the line is usually much shorter.
Live coaching only helps during that part. A prompt about the next qualifying question is useless while the phone is ringing. So the number that matters is your connected talk time per day.
Measure your talk time in one week
Most dialers and phone systems show total talk time per day or per call. If yours does, add up a normal week.
If it does not, estimate it: number of conversations a day × average conversation length. For example, 25 conversations of 6 minutes is 2.5 hours a day. Count only real conversations, not voicemails or 20-second hang-ups.
Multiply your daily talk time by the days you work in a month. This post uses 22 working days; if you work six or seven days a week, use your own number.
What each plan covers per working day
Hours are per seat, each month. Spread across 22 working days, that is roughly:

Starter: 15 hours a month, about 40 minutes of coached talk time per working day.

Professional: 30 hours a month, about 1 h 20 min of coached talk time per working day.
•
Advanced: 60 hours a month, about 2 h 45 min of coached talk time per working day.
•
Power: 120 hours a month, about 5 h 25 min of coached talk time per working day.

Run the live coach on connected calls, not all day
Your hours count while the live coach is running. If you leave it on through a whole shift of dialing, you use your hours on ringing and voicemails.
On phone and dialer calls, click Start in the desktop app when a prospect picks up, and stop it when the call ends. On Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet, the desktop app can start listening by itself when the meeting starts.
This also keeps the coaching focused: you see prompts when there is a conversation to coach, and nothing in between.
Use it as training wheels, then turn it down
Many setters use live prompts most in their first weeks on a new offer, while they learn the qualifying questions and objections. As the structure becomes habit, they need fewer prompts.
You can lower the maximum suggestions per minute in Settings (1 to 12, default 8), or coach only your hardest calls, such as the first call of the day or calls with a lead who already pushed back. Both keep your hours for the calls where they help most. More: live coaching as training wheels.
If you reach your monthly hours
You will see a message in the app when you reach your plan’s live coaching hours. Hours reset each month.
If you reach them most months, move to the next plan up from the pricing page: each step up doubles the live coaching hours. AI roleplay sessions and transcript uploads have their own allowances, so you can keep practicing and reviewing recorded calls.
